One of my favorite aspects of IBPF is how it unifies us as a global community, providing resources and shepherding us through the maze to wellness.
“Pilar’s Corner” was conceived to be a specialized section of the website dedicated to moments or touchpoints along our collective journey with bipolar disorder. Though I am a marriage and family therapist in practice for 25 years, I am first and foremost mother to Ana, now 23 years old, and living and thriving with bipolar illness since age 12. Life with bipolar was at times quite daunting, especially after the initial diagnosis. We had stepped off the beaten path into uncharted territory. The learning curve was at times difficult to maneuver.
Through sharing of information from personal experience, time-saving tips and strategies “Pilar’s Corner” seeks to create an ongoing space dedicated to helping you shorten your learning curve. Here you can reach for practical, time-saving tips and strategies to consider in creating your personal plan for health.
Although it may not always seem this way, you are not alone. Please allow IBPF to further join you on your journey.
Your questions and challenges will help shape “Pilar’s Corner”, so please do reach out to [email protected], and I will make every effort to address your questions.
